Shoppable Video for Shopify Markets: One Widget, Every Language

A shoppable video widget on a store that sells into the UK, Germany and the Netherlands has three

Shopify Markets handles the storefront's language, currency and domain or subfolder. It does not translate an app widget's labels or decide which videos a market sees.

Widget text such as "Shop now" and "Add to cart" has to be set per language in the app, otherwise German and Dutch shoppers see English buttons on a translated page.

Product tags should read price and availability from the storefront's market context, so the card shows euros on the .de subfolder and pounds on .co.uk.

Separate feeds per market let you show German UGC to German shoppers, and the theme editor assigns the right feed to each localized page.

Does Shopify Markets translate app widgets automatically?

No. Markets translates theme content, product data and anything stored as translatable metafields.
